cnpHello and welcome to Crubenbeg House.

In our website, we aim to give you all the information that you need, not just about our Newtonmore Guest House but also about the many delights of the Newtonmore area, this outstanding part of the Highlands of Scotland and, of course, about the Cairngorms National Park.

But first, please allow us to introduce ourselves.

John & Irene outside Crubenbeg Guest House Newtonmore, newtonmore bed and breakfast, dog friendly accommodation

We’re John & Irene England (Yes, we know, not a great name to have here in Scotland!)

We offer an informal, friendly, top-quality, home from home, with no airs or graces, in which you can relax and enjoy yourself whether you stay with us for a night or two, a short break or for longer luxury breaks.

Our Newtonmore Bed and Breakfast is a very convenient base from which you can explore this marvellous area and enjoy the many outdoor activities on offer, returning in the evening to join your fellow guests for dinner or to simply relax in front of the lounge fire, nightcap in hand, reading, chatting or simply savouring the spectacular views.

It is also a great place for relaxing during the day if you wish, writing those postcards, catching up on that good book and taking the occasional stroll too.

Front Door - Crubenbeg Guest House, newtonmore accommodation scotlandWe bought Crubenbeg House in March 2004. Since then, we’re pleased to say that our business has gone from strength to strength. We are delighted that our guests seem to like what we do here. Many of them come back to see us again and again and are also kind enough to recommend us to family & friends.

We're also very proud that VisitScotland judge us to be in the Top 5% of 4-Star Guest Houses, giving us their prestigious Gold Star Award.

We moved here from The Rowan Tree Country Hotel just south of Aviemore, which we owned for 4 years. The Rowan Tree was our first venture and it was there that we 'learned our trade', developing the ideas about Customer Service and Standards that you'll enjoy when staying here at what's been described as "The Newtonmore luxury guest house".

Back to today though and your visit to our site. Whether you are looking to plan your short break, to organise a pet-friendly holiday, to try one of our popular Special Interest Breaks or just to stay overnight en-route elsewhere, all the details that you need are right here, at your fingertips – please feel free to have a good look around.

Before you do, though, there is just one more thing we’d like to say.

“Whenever you choose to come, you’re assured of a very warm welcome.”

Special Offer Breaks

We’re often told that our prices offer great value for money – something that is important in this day & age. That said, as we arrive at the start of each month, we usually have a few gaps in the register, which we like to get filled.

This is your chance to enjoy even better value, with one of our wee “package deals”. Take a look at what’s on offer over the next few weeks.

Special Interest Breaks

Throughout the year, we set aside weekends for our very popular Special Interest Breaks. Topics we’ve covered include; Walking, Cookery, Fungi Hunting, painting and Photography. Take a look at what’s on offer this year and see if something takes your fancy.

Something Special Breaks

Quite simply, a very Special Break for that “Someone Special” in your life – your partner, your parents, your sons or daughters or those special friends – when only the best will do. Take a look, you might even want to book one for yourself!!

Twixmas Breaks

Our relaxing Twixmas Breaks give you the chance to put your feet up and, in modern parlance, “chill out”, in between the delightful hurly burly of Christmas & Hogmanay.

Hogmanay Breaks

On one of our popular Hogmanay Breaks you’ll get to see in the New Year in very comfortable surroundings, with great food and drink and in the company of like-minded fellow guests.

The Torchlit Procession, Fireworks, Auld Lang Syne and our New Year’s Day Walk are all included in this tremendous value package.

Tigh na Sith and Torran Cottage

We are proud to have a "Sister" B&B, up in Lochinver, on the magnificent north west coast. Our friends offer you the same high standards & an equally friendly welcome to their home. They also now have Torran Cottage, where you can enjoy a superb self-catering holiday.
