This is a new addition to our Programme for 2010 in response to requests from guests. Timed to take advantage of what we hope will be good weather, we'll be employing the services of a qualified instructor/guide to lead you through the off-road Highways & byways of the glens & hills nearby.

We've avoided using the popular phrase "Mountain Biking" to describe this weekend - "Cross-country Biking" is a more accurate reflection of what we have in mind. The programme is, however, planned to be suitable for mosy abilities of cyclist who have some off-road experience and, of course, you'll need a bike with off-road capabilities.

On the Saturday, we intend to follow a day-long itinerary and on the Sunday, a half-day route before you set off home after lunch.

While we hope to be able to stretch your abilities, the skill of the instructor will be not to take you too far out of your comfort zone. After all, where's the fun in doing that?
