Winter 2012

Based here at Crubenbeg House near Newtonmore our guests enjoy the magnificent views all around us, the peace and quiet of our rural location and, of course, our superb breakfasts.

You will also find that we are very well placed to let you get everywhere very easily indeed. There's all the local attractions and activites including the new Wildcat Experience, The Folk Park, The Wildlife Park and Ruthven Barracks to name just a few plus Walks and Cycle Tracks. Further afield, you'll find the Cairngorm Funicular Railway , Ballindalloch Castle, The Whisky Trail and Culloden Battlefield too. All are within easy reach by car from here.

February.

As I write this note January is all but at a close, peace & tranquility have settled on the valley, giving you even more space and time to enjoy it.

Whilst the days are shorter, we get some glorious weather, with clear blue skies, and bright sunshine lending a certain luminescence to all the scenery. Last night, in fact, we had a truly marvellous display of the Northern Lights!! Simply magnificent, wow!!

We've got a goodly covering of snow up on the hill tops and the ski centres are up and running.

The month of February can be just perfect, then, for a short break here in the glorious Highlands.
