Spring 2013

Spring has - at last - sprung!! The days are getting longer, the mornings brighter, the dawn chorus earlier & earlier and the daffodils are about to busrt forth gloriously down our drive!! The mountains are splendid as their mantles trun green, the lochs serene & still and the rivers rushing enthusiastically seawards.

Based here at Crubenbeg House near Newtonmore our guests enjoy the magnificent views all around us, the peace and quiet of our rural location and, of course, our superb breakfasts. The bird-life in our garden this year has to be seen to be believed - they are simply loving all the new exploring that can do in the root boles from the fallen trees!!!

Staying at Crubenbeg House, you will also find that we are very well placed to let you get everywhere very easily indeed. There's all the local attractions and activites including the new Wildcat Experience, The Folk Park, The Wildlife Park and Ruthven Barracks to name just a few plus Walks and Cycle Tracks. Further afield, you'll find the Cairngorm Funicular Railway , Ballindalloch Castle, The Whisky Trail and Culloden Battlefield too. All are within easy reach by car from here.

May can be a wonderful month, as everything comes to life here in the Highlands. What better than to enjoy the peace & quiet, the space and the time of this wonderful part of the world, followed by a nice bite to eat at the end of the day, a glass of something restorative and feet up in front of a crackling fire. Simply superb.

Looking ahead, through to the end of May, the good news is that, as I sit here at my keyboard, bookings are looking very, very healthy indeed. However, we do have a gap or two, some for one night, some for two, more towards the end of the month if you'd like to come and join us.

We'd be delighted to squeeze you in if we can and, in return for, perhaps, a bit of flex on your part, dates-wise, we have some Special rates for your Bed & Breakfast, just for the last few dates in our diary. B&B starts at just £30.00 per person or if you're looking to book on a Dinner B&B basis, from just £50.00 per person.
