Wine_2We offer you a selection of good quality, enjoyable wines from around the world - with a mix of the familiar and the less well known - something for all tastes. Above all, though, we want to offer you excellent value for money.

Choosing our wines was, as they say, a very tough job - but somebody had to do it!! We hope that you'll have as much pleasure and fun drinking them as we had choosing them. If you'd like any advice at all, please don't hesitate to ask.

I often say that there are only two types of wine - wine that you like and wine that you don't! If you choose something that is not to your liking, don't fret; we'll happily change it. After all, we do like all the wines on our list................Cheers.

Red Wines

Bottle

1.
MERLOT. FINCA EL PICADOR, CHILE.

From the same Finca as our popular Sauvignon Blanc & Rose, this new recruit is a stunner. Smell the succulent soft fruits, then savour the mellow plum jam flavours. Enjoy.

£13.75
2.
CINSAULT CABERNET, DRAKENSBERG, SOUTH AFRICA..

11 years on our list and we have no wish to change it. A superb, medium bodied wine from the Cape that has bags of smooth, rich, lightly spiced fruit - simply a joy to drink.

£14.50
3.
Rioja Vega Sin Crianza, Bodegas Muerza, Spain.

Smooth & fruity, full of flavour & lightly spiced, this is a really good, vibrant young Rioja. It is very moreish - beware!

£15.50
4.
ALTO MALBEC, PAMPAS DEL SUR, ARGENTINA

Lots of our guests are already converts to this nice big red, with its rich damson flavours and long, satisfying, subtle finish. Great wine, great value.

£15.75

White Wines

5.
Sauvignon Blanc, Finca El Picador, Chile.

Delightful to drink, simply packed with ripe gooseberry fruit flavours. An excellent white that's understandably proved very popular with our guests. Mmmmmm!

£13.75
6.
Colombard, Le Charme. Cotes de Gascogne, France.

Aromatic & light, yet full of flavour, with lashings of fruit, this excellent French country wine is just off dry. After a year off, it is back for its 10th year on our list. Almost too good to be true!

£14.50
7.
Viognier, LAS MANITOS, MENDOZA, ARGENTINA.

This is a lovely Viognier, burtsing with citrus fruit aromas. Up-front grapefruit to taste, which softens & lingers to tropical fruits & melon. A fine wine, outstanding value.

£15.50

And, finally........Rosé

8.
CABERNET Rosé, Finca El Picador, Chile.

One of the new generation Rosés. Wonderfully fresh & very fruity with just a touch of sweetness. Go on - surprise yourself!
