Guest Bedrooms

StagWe have 4 Guest Bedrooms, every one different with its own distinguishing features and each one named after an animal or bird native to this area. All of them give you superb views over the valley, with 3 of our rooms located on the first floor and 1 on the ground floor.

All are very spacious and we have equipped them with everything you need for an enjoyable stay, with top quality beds, Dorma bed linen, separate comfortable seating, hand-crafted hardwood furniture, soft, fluffy towels, luxury toiletries, remote control colour TV with FreeSat from Sky giving you some 200 channels to choose from, digital radio alarm, hairdryer & individually controlled heating. WiFi Internet Access is available in all rooms too.

OspreyAs you’d expect, each room has a refreshment tray. Ours come complete with a choice of teas, herbal teas, fruit teas, coffee (regular & de-caffeinated) & hot chocolate, not forgetting the Walkers shortbread biscuits & Scottish mineral waters too.

That’s an overview, now let’s take a look at each room individually.

Stag“Stag” is our largest with “acres of space”. Wonderfully light & airy, it offers panoramic views from the large bay window. Unique to this room is the solid pine 4-Poster bed - King Sized, of course. There’s also a comfy sofa to relax in and a super en-suite bath, shower & WC.

CapercaillieNext door, you’ll find “Capercaillie”. You’ll be taken with the double bed’s interesting antique headboard, shaped like a Bishop’s Mitre, and you can stretch out in the easy chairs to read or watch TV. Guests in this room enjoy private facilities – a shower & WC - just across the landing. (Robes provided, of course.)

OspreySome would call our 3rd upstairs room, “Osprey”, a small suite. You can choose either a super-king bed or, if you prefer, twin beds and there is still ample room for a couple of cottage chairs. An archway leads you, via a lovely private lobby, through to your personal en-suite bath, shower & WC.

Ospray en-suiteLast but by no means least, downstairs we find “Pine Marten”. The same size as “Osprey” this room has the benefit of an extra south-facing window making it even lighter & airier.

In “Pine Marten” there’s the choice of either a super-king bed or twin beds whichever suits you better, a couple of really comfy chairs and, just across your private hallway, you’ll find your modern en-suite shower room.

Pine MartenA distinguishing feature of “Pine Marten” is that whilst it offers the same top class accommodation as our other rooms it has also been carefully & sympathetically planned to meet the needs of guests with disabilities.

As well as the usual internal doorway with easy access from the rest of the house, it has the convenience of a separate entrance, with a ramp up from the dedicated parking area immediately outside. All the facilities & equipment in the bedroom & en-suite meet, in full, the requirements for Category One accessibility by guests with mobility difficulties up to and including unassisted wheelchair status. Additionally, the bedroom, hallway & en-suite have been tastefully colour co-ordinated for ease of movement by partially sighted guests.

Whichever room you choose, you’re sure of a relaxing & restful stay with us.

Please note: We feel that it is only fair that we point out that our bedrooms, like the rest of the house & grounds, do not offer any facilities for guests who wish to smoke.
