Ballindalloch CastleAround an hour away up the Spey Valley is the fabulous Ballindalloch Castle. This is a stunning building with equally impressive gardens that is both home of the only Lady Laird in Scotland and a working estate rather than a museum piece.

Just south east of Inverness there’s the renowned Cawdor Castle (Again well worth a visit though built after Shakespeare wrote it into history in Macbeth!)

Less than 30 minutes south of us you’ll find Blair Castle, another superb building & home to the Earl of Atholl, the only man in Britain allowed to maintain a private army!!
